APNs arrived this morning, sent to MP. Still considering whether to join the TAA fight, will make a decision after the next newsletter. Do I forward them to NTRT as well?

I have a CDT to cover the APNs. So will probably pay up as well, as judging from the
advise on the thread that is the thing to do if one can, and then carry on fighting.
If I have paid via CTD and then the APN gets withdrawn what happens?

What gets me is that r&c state that they may not repay as we may no pay if they win and also for their security...hmmm
so when they send their debt collectors with bats to peoples door, who's security are they thinking of? All very insane!

I think using the term 'sham' was unfortunate as it has obviously given HMRC some straws to clutch at. Having said that they are just that - straws....

HMRCs difficulty in proving fraud/deliberate behaviour is clearly in showing that '0000s of otherwise law abiding people did something they knew was illegal. Basically a massive conspiracy. Which is nonsense. Plus they have undermined their argument with George.

I would certainly want to push for this, partially to get compensation for being f&*ked in the ass for years, but more because it would be utterly humiliating for the HMRC individuals responsible.

Surely you will wait until MP respond to you with instructions? If they are correct then some of the APNs that have been issued are not valid.

Only if HMRC reject this, and give you the 30 further days to pay, should you consider paying.
