    Hello HMRC

I'd just like to say I'm sorry I didn't take your Mr Hartnett out for long expensive lunches 10 years or so ago, to discuss my tax affairs, like several of our leading Chief Executives did. He seemed happy with them paying a minor percentage of their companies profits to you in tax each year.

But that's because I am one of the 'little people'.

You started something years ago (because of a personal vendetta) which meant we 'little people' became collateral damage. Your vindictiveness, bullying and lying have caused so much grief to so many families and it has (almost) made me lose faith in our rule of law and political system and certainly HMRC.

if that was your aim, then congratulations. I'm sure you get a nice warm glow.

However, you may now live to regret it.

    I sincerely hope you do.

When at least one of those SoBs is in court facing a misfeasance in public office charge, I for one will turn up just to metaphorically spit on them. We must never give up on that angle, IMO.

      Hi there, BTW! http://forums.contractoruk.com/image.../extras/11.gif

        Credit Score

Guys - I saw this mentioned before...in what way does the APN affect your credit score? Before the due date, is it registered somewhere as a debt? Surely this will never be recorded except as a CCJ or bankruptcy?

My question wasnt silly. But your reasoning is sh*te.

So you're worried about some tulipe that defies logic by your own admission but you're talking of chucking it in!?

          Up to you.

With about 100 posts a day, could we have a summary S58 thread please?

Penalties get applied over time, while enforcement is taking place, until the debt is recovered.

The only question is how far HMRC will actually go to enforce an APN. Unlike a normal tax demand, they may stop short of bankrupting people. But even Gauke said, during the debate, that this couldn't be ruled out.

I would urge you to read this:
              https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/reque...ncoming-552691
I guess some of us will just have to wait and see if HMRC will enforce collection whilst a JR is in flight - a somewhat different position to that of challenging the tax position itself and the scenarios the APN legislation is designed to attack. Assuming they lose the George fight in the meantime then at least the surcharge can't be applied - would be different if it was a penalty of course....

Lack of clarity certainly means there are interesting times ahead!!

Be very careful what you post here. Don't suggest anything illegal. Its a public thread.

Personally I reserve my sessions with my shrink for that sort of activity.
