The difference with the TAA forum is every member has been vetted by sight of appropriate documentation.
This could be done with a generic NTRT forum - but it's a lot more work than we have resources for at the moment.'Orwell's 1984 was supposed to be a warning, not an instruction manual'. -

Another is the light moderation - almost anything goes. Only one person has been supid enough to upset the TAA mods so far. Guess who....Comment

NTRT will still be issuing newsletters to all our members.
I'll look forward to the NTRT newsletter and keep my fingers crossed there will still be some effort put into the non-TAA, non-property members.Comment

The only 100% guaranteed way to avoid surcharges/penalties is to pay the APNs by the due date. (Sending letters of representation will, in effect, extend the due date.)
Joining the Montpelier JR should prevent HMRC being able to enforce payment of the APNs but there is no guarantee that it will stop surcharges/penalties eventually being incurred.
At the moment Montpelier haven't given a definite date when the JR application will be submitted. All they're saying is it will be soon.Comment
