I laugh at people who put themselves in massive debt because they worry about what other people think about them.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Don't bother. Zoidy has a bit of an obsession on the subject. Nobody knows why. Perhaps it's a racist thing.

I will never buy a new car again, what a waste of money. Luckily I got a BMW and its price held, but next time I will go for a 4-5 year old Merc.

                DONT DO IT!!!
I was bored one weekend back in 2005 and ended up buying the BMW convertible demonstration car from the local BMW dealer 42k car bought on a whim with "hard earned" contractor cash....

Still got the car, but only really use it for long distance or when the sun is out. its much less hassle to jump in the 600quid peugeot 106 that i bought for my partner and rag that around. I dont care who bumps into it, or where i park it, not even bothered if its locked or not. if it breaks i throw it away and buy a new one for less than one month of the op's finance repayments!! meanwhile the BMW sits dirty and unloved on the drive...

                  The best and worst

                  It's a myth.

                  Least cash lost
If you want to lose the least cash over three years, you need to start with a low list price in the first place.

Thanks to a low list price of £6635, and a good resale percentage of 43%, the Kia Picanto comes out on top by losing just £3755 over three years and 36,000 miles.

The Volkswagen Fox runs the Kia close with £3810 lost over three years on the £7460 1.2 54bhp car.

                  Most lost

Go to the other end of the spectrum with the £153,341 long wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG luxury performance car and the story is very different.

It retains just 32% of that original pricetag over three years – so pay in full up front and you're looking at a whopping £103,715 loss over three years. That's just short of £95 depreciation for every day of ownership.
Take note the 'least cash lost' is a Kia whilst the most is a Merc.

Jesus, you'd be on the lowest rung of the manly ladder, women would think you'd given up on life, kids would openly mock you, people would move away from you in the bar, the local garage would refuse to service it.

I have been close to several really big crashes on the m4 (not in, or causing them I am keen to point out!) and I have to say that when the metal gets bent I want to be in a BLOODY large car that has 300mm vented grooved disks and 8 pot callipers. What's the point in earning 100k while sat in a 5K pile of asian tin.

Just don't buy big cars on finance.
