    NEST pension

I'm working through an umbrella company/

They are using NEST for pensions? Anyone else using NEST...am thinking not to bother as it is a fairly short term role and not worth it for a few weeks if the role doesn't extend...

NEST pensions tend to have somewhat higher fees than SIPPs but putting some money into a pension is rarely a bad idea as they are very tax efficient and your future self will thank you. You can always transfer it to a different scheme at a later date.

Nest has relatively high contribution charges but the annual management charge is lower than others - so if you are intending in leaving it in there for a while, then probably not a bad idea, plus remember it is the only real legitimate way to reduce the tax and NI for the assignment with the brolly.
