Is there anyone left at AMS?

They've been binning agents hand over fist for the past month.

AMS use Giant and purt everyone under £250 on PAYE. So AMS send you a KID for Umbrella work based on a day rate of £100 a day.
Its appalling that AMS/PSR are still doing this. Is the KID you get from Clarity going to be different to the one Clarity were presumably sent by PSR?

I suspect, yes, on the basis that eek wouldn't get out of bed for £100 a day

I got an Opt out form from PRS as part of on boarding this week and I also got a KID even though I hadn't even chosen a brolly yet so it was from PSR

Oh I might - but not for this client - what I'm currently being paid ain't enough for the work I need to do.

But I've other stuff to do from next week so the new rules will be done my hours - if it's not solved not my problem.

The umbrella is unlikely to issue a KID, however we do always issue an illustration (same kind of thing but not the government format), so that people can see the deductions based on their actual rate. Always ask for a calculation before you start with the brolly.

Agreed - I've never had the Umbrella Company ever offer a KID of their own making. Its normally a passthrough of one given to them by the agency, and is supposed to form part of their employment contract. In fact most times, I get sent a KID by the agency, then by the umbrella as well. Its almost like a belt and braces, but without the consideration on what it is actually supposed to show.

With this particular case that the OP posted about, this seems to me to be more a case of the agency/client not being clear, treating the client's budgeted rate and the pay rate as the same thing and then lumbering the umbrella with the bill because that's who their employer according to the contract of employment is.
