Same dates for the Legend, Nexus one still up in the air.

Not sure whether to get legend or desire.....
I thought the Desire was coming to Orange? Can't remember where I read it, though.

Desire seems to be the Nexus One killer, which is said to be the iPhone killer..... Whichever one comes to market first (Nexus, Desire, Legend) is the way I'll probably go - although my heart says I hope it's the Desire. Looks well tasty - there are some initial views and reviews.

Desire has more memory and a better processor than the Legend. The rest seems pretty much the same though.

Configured iPhones for several clients. Dont want one, dont like apple, dont want iTunes. Dont see why I need to enter a credit card.

Got a HTC hero, brilliant. Job done. Lasts 2 days without charging too.

I loathe telephones: always have done, always will do. If I want to speak to somebody, I'd rather do so face to face; otherwise, written communication (whether SMS or email or chat or even pen, paper, envelope, and stamp) will do. Telephony is an old technology that solved a problem in its day, but really should be left behind now.

Given that I really don't GAS about the telephony aspect, I would say that the iPhone is the best piece of handheld computing equipment out there. It's worth it for the web browsing alone, but that isn't even a tenth of it. It is currently the only handheld computer worth having. (You can also use it to make phone calls if you really don't want to leave the twentieth century.)

If iTunes is crashing your system, I think it likely that your system has deeper problems. However I may be wrong, and if this means that the iPhone isn't for you then you should go for one of the second-rate options. They're more like nineteenth-rate though, given how far ahead of the field the iPhone is when one doesn't want the phone bit - although the phone bit is still brilliant compared to any other phone I've ever endured.

As an iPhone apps developer, he can hardly say it's bobbins, though, can he?

I was going to call my brother later today, have a chat on this, outdated technology.

I have always found it humerous ways in which people demand technology be used in a certain way.

Very nice, almost looks like a real iPhone! But can it find which aisle in the local Tesco the Jalepinos are? iPhone can. The Tesco app is ace!

How do u 'configure' an iPhone? U just plug it in and it does the rest...

I don't really need much out of a phone so will probably go with the legend.
