anyone know how long the license lasts "officially"?
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

The subscription is annual but I don't believe there are any time restrictions on the software.

      i.e. it doesn't de-activate after a year.

However, I would imagine your right to use it will cease once your subscription expires and if you do not renew.

License to use ends when subscription ends, presumably - I'd assume the worst in this case.

That's what I was told when I asked. So it is not as super-cheap long term, though I maintain for a developer working on their own hardware it's still good value.

It has an advantage of getting current versions of software, so free upgrades if you like - makes economic sense if you have enough computers, ie 10.

We might walk away from it soon though, over many years IF you use old OSes like us it seems a bit more than we'd like.

              Bump.

Question: Do you get the Office products in the Action Pack? Old versions too?

I (genuinely) need to research something using Office automation; I'm not looking for a cheap way to get Office.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

                Yes you do.

Only the current version though (2007).

Aye spoons is correct, you cannot get old versions of most software from this, actually off the top of my head only thing you can get old versions of is desktop OS's and even that only goes back one version, aka Vista/Win 7 yes, XP no

And what if you were subscribed to it for years with (now) old versions of software installed? I don't think there is any obligation to force it getting updated to new versions.

It's another matter that those *£!&!&!&$!$ no longer give you access to older versions.
