I agree, summit is not starting up right but no idea what. Maybe my puppet parrot will know.

Barmy. Couldn't get any wav files to play for 2 days, then yesterday the same files played fine. Plenty of stuff on Google but nowt that that explains such an intermittent problem.
I conclude it must be an evil spirit in my computer. I will hire an exorcist later.bloggoth

got a loose connection in your tremulating spadgrowler, or the left handed grendlesprocket is out of balanceComment

What size are the files?
How much RAM do you have?
How often do you restart your computer?
What anti-virus are you running?
Are you syncing to the cloud?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Cheers sadkingbilly. Tremulating spadgrowler! Yeh! Put it in the microwave for a few minutes and it's working! You are a genius!
Cheers WTFH. Can be over 500kb. Think lack of ram or antivirus would prevent them playing at all. They do play but almost inaudible, just hear faint sound when volume turned right up. Others, prob at least 3 times a day, not synced to cloud.

More blatantly obvious questions:
What are you using to listen to the files - is it inbuilt PC speakers, wired headphones, wireless headphones, paper cup on the end of a bit of string...?…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Paper cup? Don't be silly. I use a tin can
Speakers actually. Not really sure how stereo works on PCs. Tried setting to mono in Windows settings. Not much point in stereo when speakers are about 18" apart. Will see. All working fine today.bloggoth

Are you running anything concurrently that may be enquing on the sound card??
(maybe a web page/newsfeed/fatbumfeed)
What do you play .wav with? (vlc/wmp etc)
have you tuned the grendelsprocket and adjusted your spadgrowler for harmonic tremulation?Comment
