    Find me a laptop please!

Please help me choose a new laptop. Here are the requirements:

    15"+ Screen
    Reasonable sound
Weight not important (I only carry it to the car and back)

    I use:
    Visual Studio
    SQL Server
    Sketchup
    Iplayer

I have minimal storage requirements (current laptop has 250G and is half full)

Budget is around £500 inc vat

    Ta very much

I can get you Pre-used refurbished. Price better than gumtree or ebay...
Disclaimer - I'm trading them for few years now.

If you are after something reasonably standard, then somewhere like PC World is probably good enough (7% discount if you're an IPSE member).

If you want something a bit different, then spec your own on pcspecialist and configure to your heart's content - I got my last one from there and I'm very, very happy with it. But the spec that I was considering wasn't available anywhere else - most places I looked at didn't do a high memory laptop.

My advice has always been get a Latitude from Dell outlet.

3 years onsite warranty is a nice extra.

How much more than £399 for a Core i7? My cheapo ASUS lappy from John Lewis has a two year warranty, so not too shabby.

I have Lenovo T420s and it's been great for years but looking at upgrading there is the latest model T460s however on most reviews the battery life is pants so best to stick with the T450s (one of the best selling models in US i read) so I have gone for that, i5-5300 12GB RAM 256SSD for just under 800 notes. Haven't checked it yet as working away.

This was on Amazon where is said "last one in stock", after buying it then said "only three left in stock".

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.
