Depends what you put in - I'd be surprised if anywhere will do the same spec for the same kind of money, though.

The last one I specced was £3800, but I suspect that had a higher specification than the one you chose.

Don't forget to check IPSE Advantages to see if you can get a further discount on something you were going to buy anyway.

I recently bought a Novatech bare bones system ( i5 16GB ) for about £400. I had an SSD, 2xHDD and retail copy of Windows (honestly) going spare, but you could certainly buy an SSD and HDD for <£100 and stay within your budget.

            Pretty pleased with it.

Is a graphics card needed for a home office PC?

I'm not talking about gaming. The kids might play YouTube vids and some kiddy games online, but that's about it.

I can't see any reason not to use on board graphics for everything these days, unless you're a hardcore gamer.

Would be useful for doing a multi-monitor setup.

Surely you can do dual-monitor with onboard graphics these days?

It is possible if there is more than one VGA or HDMI port on the motherboard.
With the example I gave there is 1 x VGA and 1 x HDMI

Personally I would prefer to have a dedicated graphics card but on-board graphics these days is more than adequate.
