With Win 10 out in just a few days time, was wondering if the majority will go for the free upgrade straight away (from win 7, or win 8/8.1) or wait for a few months while any creases are ironed out, and then upgrade? I'm tempted to go straight into it but could be a bit risky...what d'you think?

I've the Windows 10 Insider release running as a VM on my Mac for yonks and it's been trouble free, no issues at all, better than 7 or 8.Originally posted by SteelyDan View PostWith Win 10 out in just a few days time, was wondering if the majority will go for the free upgrade straight away (from win 7, or win 8/8.1) or wait for a few months while any creases are ironed out, and then upgrade? Still not a patch on OS X though, only got it for Visio..... -
Yeah, I've been following threads elsewhere from ppl who went on the insider release and there have been good reports thus far, hence my being tempted to just jump straight in.Originally posted by stek View PostI've the Windows 10 Insider release running as a VM on my Mac for yonks and it's been trouble free, no issues at all, better than 7 or 8..Clarity is everythingComment

Yup, go straight for it on the first day. People who actually get IT will figure it out, people who have fallen into IT will hold back.⭐️ Gold Star ContractorComment

will install on my backup laptop and use it for a while before installing it on my main pc. Can't be worse than os x 10.Comment

Going straight on my Surface Pro 3, but holding off on main laptop as Client's VM needs to run on it, and they have only just got Win 8.x support sorted

I'll probably give in to temptation and end up doing it, though I can't think of a reason to change from Windows 7.Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
