Speak to the liquidators.
Who told you to use unified Payroll - if it was the agency then see an employment lawyer - they may be able to chase the agency for the money - I know from elsewhere that at least 1 agency has paid at least one of the workers they had working via Unified Payroll.
Also speak to the agency and see if they can claim on Professional Passport's insurance (I suspect its utterly worthless but you never know)

All I can suggest is to contact the Liquidators.
I doubt that there’s much more that you can do.

Can someone help me? I posted this message in another thread and Cojak kindly pointed me to this:
I hope someone can help me here, and suggest some ways of getting this sorted:
Basically my umbrella company owes me £6.5k and along with Giant, they got hacked?
I keep calling them but they keep saying directors are working with the banks and we have no idea when we can sort this.
So. I'm a bit stifled.
It's a lot of money and I am not getting anything sensible apart from "We don't know when this can be sorted out".
What can I do?
Grateful for *any* advice or pointers here please. Thanks

shall we just say that I suspect we are going to see if Professional Passport’s indemnity insurance is a lot better than I think it is.

Oh jeez… https://www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/3913408
I only hope that there isn’t a Winding Up Order associated with this.

Given that is before Giant was hacked I'm tempted to think there is more to the story (and that it's a different story) to the one we've been led to believe.
It will be interesting to see what the administrator finds out.

Umbrella Company - Unified Payroll Limited - appoints liquidator...
Just as an FYI to any contractors out there, it seems that following the cyber attacks a few weeks back Unified Payroll appointed a provisional liquidator on 28th October.
