    Spag bol for tea

Still a pleasant evening to look at, though not as warm as it might be. Looks as if there's some more cloud starting to move in, but maybe that'll stop it getting too chilly overnight

Lunch: Heinz tomato soup and white toast

The expected cloud has failed to materialise. If anything, it’s got sunnier

There was a blackbird on the lawn while I was preparing the soup, but it seems to have been an interloper as our regular one showed up and attempted to chivvy it away. They ended up in the corner by the entrance at this side, which the usual guy apparently decided was good enough, strolling nonchalantly away to peck at the grass nearer the middle

Already in discussions with project managers about the next few weeks of meetings: what is the purpose of them, who is attending, where are they being held, etc. You know, the important stuff. I've been told 3 different hotels for the first week, and for the next trip, since it was first mooted:
    Day 1:
PM1: If you can go, book your flights
Me: I can go, will reorganise a few things.
PM2: Don't book your flights, PM1 is not authorised to ask you as they have not checked with my plan
    Day 2:
PM3: We'll let you know today if you should book your flights
    Day 3:
PM3: We'll let you know by close of business today if you should book your flights
    Day 4:
    PM2: Book your flights
Me: These flights are a LOT more expensive than normal.
    PM2: Don't book your flights
    Day 6:
PM1: Have you booked your flights yet?
Me: These flights are a LOT more expensive than normal, if you're authorising me, I'll book them.
PM1: Give me an estimation for the the full cost of the trip
Me: Researches it all, prices up hotels, parking, mileage, etc
PM1: I'm not sure I should authorise that, but you have to be there. I need to speak to PM4.
    Day 7:
    Let's see what happens today.

For context: PM1 is full time employed by the client and signs off all time sheets and expenses. The other 3 PMs are contractors brought it to manage different parts of the project.
Day 7 finished with a request by PM2 to re-price the flights, also to price flights for a second trip.
It is now at the point where I will be billing the customer for the amount of time spent pricing travel.
The answer to the first set of flights is that they are now 15% more expensive than they were at the end of last week.
The price for the second trip is roughly the same as the price the first trip was a week ago.

Half way through Day 8 and still no authorisation.

    Morning Afternoon all

Sunny with lumps of fluff occasionally cluttering up the sky. No rain forecast. Currently 16 degrees with a high of 18 expected. Barometer down a snifter to 1014 mBar.

The small amount of work that can be done in the hours they're willing pay me for has been done and I'm not going to start anything new when clocking off o'clock is in 20 minutes.

    Morning denizens

Grey and overcast here. The wet stuff is descending now.

Feeling tired and fed up. Real CBA vibe today with me. My head hurts too which doesn't help.

    Morning.

    Wednesday.

    Dry.

    Blue sky.

Cool in here at 17.5 deg, 19.5 deg in the kitchen, 16 deg in the leanto.

1011 mBar, 29.855 in Hg, 758.3 Torr, 14.6633 psi, (up from 1007 last night), 78% RH (GDR hair), 70% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 6th of October 2019 the car wouldn't start & I couldn't find the old battery charger so had to use one that was approaching 60 years younger, whereas NF was Instantpotting something or other to go in the freezer, having had the luxury of a hotdog for lunch.

Entertainment: More or Less. Waffling on about lying Tory bastards.

Poor night's sleep due to lack of air through either nostril: dunno what this lurgie is but I'll be much happier when it's fecked off.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & put away: stopped on the way out when the alarm went off because a dvd hadn't been zapped.

It was cold enough out there to make me wish I'd put my gloves on.

    Lunch: scrambled egg etc.

Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about houses being stolen & the iniquitous results thereof.

Much strimming and cursing of said strimmer done and lesson learned about avoiding strimming the power lead.

Entertainment: Veronica Mars S3 E3 "Wichita Linebacker", whatever a linebacker is. Amusing enough. It had Armie Hammer in it.

Sunny start with patchy cloud out, though this is predicted to revert to generic cloudiness later. Relatively nippy too, being 8°C, and not getting past 14° this afternoon. The barometers are hovering at 1001/1009mB

We had that this afternoon, but then it turned into a very nice evening

Lots of time spent this evening on setting up the new iPad, checking out the keyboard-with-trackpad that makes it like a little laptop, experimenting with the Apple Pencil, and so on

The evening's viewing started with yet another of C5's innumerable police things

And then E2 of the D Day tapes thing. Omaha Beach wasn't very nice at all, from the sound of it - though nowhere was at all good

    Goodnight all

I had my final check in for the flu jab trial I've been on for the past 9 months and that triggered a payment of £935. Not exactly a new career but it pays for the removal chaps.
