Tea has been cottage pie (out of the freezer)

And this was accompanied by the rest of last night's Traffic Cops

Gosh. The Gorn commented on it too. .

And it took pages and pages and pages on the 30th of October 2014 to find this.

Lunch: a couple of roast chicken thighs out of the freezer

I cooked these the other week but now can't remember what herbs and spices I used on them. Quite nice though

    Afternoon all

Overcast, quite dull. Currently 12 degrees with a high of 14 expected. Possibility of some minor precipitation. Barometer up to 1030 mBar.

    Sunrise 07:24; Sunset 18:10 BST

Meetings this morning, including this month's 'knowledge share' at ConsultancyCo. The knowledge shares are on multiple topics that are of personal interest to the person presenting them, rather than being work-focussed. I don't always turn up to them as they are either about something I'm not bothered about or they clash with other stuff. Today's was about LLMs and the discussion point being 'can LLMs truly understand?'. The consensus was no.

This morning the bed was stripped and left to air, and all items have been laundered and draped around to dry.

    Morning.

    Tuesday?

    Dry.

    Grey.

    Wanly sunny (using some imagination).

Chilly in here at 17.5 deg, 17.5 in the kitchen, 16.5 in the leanto, 15.5 in the salting house.

1025 mBar, 30.27 in Hg, 768.8 Torr, 14.866 psi, (up from 1023.5 last night), 65% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 23rd of February 2020 LM watched a prog about the V&A, xogg's nephew worked there, eek and BR14 popped in, I had some rice pud, and NF had crinkle cut chips.

Washing frenzy Part Deaux in progress.

Walk (unabreviated, towpath) walked in the grey gloom. Two actual conversations on the way back. Probly my lot for this week.

Gosh. Here I was expecting Am Dro this afternoon & it turns out there isn't one. . I think we've have our 4 for this year.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about how the government inspired house insulation scheme fell prey to scammers & bad workmanship. Who'd have thunk?

    Am Dro. .

    4 lawns mown. Knackered now.

    Tea: soup etc. Nice enough.

    Entertainment: PM.

Dial 999. The forged £ notes one.

The Mind of Mr J. G. Reeder: the scam artist one.

WWII from above: BP vs the Nazi submarines.

"The cold light of day (2012)" with Henry Cavill, Bruce Willis (compos mentis), Sigourney Weaver.

Not in the mood for "Otto" either.

    Morning everyone

Grey and dull here - looks like it's about to drizzle.

I've gone into the office to see a different set of four walls for the day. Luckily it's fairly quiet and the shoutiest service desk and HR types aren't in right now.

    Did you miss me?
    Quick summary:
BA new Club Suites are good
Old Qatar Business is better (as is there level of service)
Tired old BA 380 business is not how I remembered it.
About 4,200 photos taken, which will be whittled down to a hundred or so. Much wine consumed, much wildlife viewed.

    Did I miss anything here?

    Morning denizens

Another grey day. It looks as if there may have been some rain overnight, but I suppose it could be heavy dew. No rain forecast today but the cloud is expected to persist, and it's gradually getting cooler: it may be 10°C now but the high will only be 15°. The barometers are steady at 1019/1026mB

Read some more of Ossian's Ride. It's an entertaining read, but I keep thinking that the fundamental premise of the story seems very unlikely, even rather ridiculous. I suspect it'll all make sense eventually though; there are foreshadowings of something far beyond the ken of the narrator…

    Goodnight all
