Once again, too hot to do anything else

The lightning map doesn't show anything interesting coming this way yet, though there was a brief flurry of activity in Schleswig-Holstein. The middle of France seems to be copping it. The prediction from the Met Office suggests we may get storms passing over between five and eight in the morning though, so that would be nice to wake up to

    Goodnight all

I've decided I can do without sitting around waiting for a faint breeze to make its way through the window, and have ordered a portable air conditioner off Amazon. It'll be delivered on Saturday, so that'll be the end of the warm weather for this year

Down to 24°C here now. In theory there's a breeze, but I don't see the trees doing any moving

    Morning.

    Wednesday.

    Dry.

    Wanly sunny.

    High cloud.

22.1 deg in here, 23.5 in the kitchen, 22 in the leanto.

1008.5 mBar, 29.78 in Hg, 756.44 Torr, 14.627 psi, (down from 1010 last night), 74% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 27th of October 2019 I ventured as far as the viewless point on my walk, and met the now late Frank on the way back, he not being late at that point, had roast chicken with cumberland sausages for lunch, my neighbours hadn't yet returned from their gallivanting, BR14 had conquered his lurgy, and NF changed the two non self setting clocks in his abode.

Can't say that sleeping was overly easy last night, as opposed to waking at ungodly hours when the batphone starting a lowbat beeping, then waking again at 05:55 and dozing on and off until 08:30ish with the usual crazy dreams involving going from somewhere unknown back to the railway station. Well it's better than the Finals Dream.

Walk (abbreviated a little by a recovery truck blocking the road) walked in the wan sunshine, high humidity.

    Lunch: scrambled egg etc.

    Entertainment: Y&Y, TWATO.

More house vaccing. Even moved a bookcase to vac underneath & behind.

    Entertainment: The Mentalist S3 E20, E21, E22.

    Tea: soup etc.

    Weatherman Walking: Cardigan Bay.

Nobody (2021): Bob Odenkirk doing something rather different from Saul.

A short walk has been walked, followed by cooling down in the shower. Looks like it's going to be another hot one

    Morning denizens

Another sunny start, despite some high haze which is expected to persist. Yet another warm one, being at 17°C already with 27° on the cards again. The barometers continue to defy expectations though, being down to 1004/1012mB

    Too. Damn. Hot.

This evening's entertainment has been the last of the Blade trilogy, Blade Trinity (2004). This one features a very baby faced Ryan Reynolds who displays the same wise-cracking attitude he brings to all his other roles that he's now more popularly known for.

Apparently, there will be a new Blade fillum next year as part of MCU Phase 6.

    Only Wednesday tomorrow? Heavy sigh…

Very warm in here tonight - about 26°C in the bedroom, and the very light breeze is coming from the other side of the building so leaving the window open hasn't helped much

    Goodnight all

As foretold yesterday, tea has been spag bol. In fact, I took a little time out this afternoon to get the bol on the go so it had about four hours on a gentle simmer, which developed the flavours very nicely

And that was accompanied by Secrets of the London Underground which had a good segment on the Brunels' original Thames tunnel
