Happy Unbirthday LM.

Hints of blue sky.
Wanly sunny.
Chilly in here at 12.8 deg, 11 in the kitchen, 9 in the leanto.

Meanwhile on the 16th of March 2020, Brillo, BR14, scruff, LM, NF, WTFH and I popped in, whilst I watched a programme comparing the Orange Mother****er to Henry VIII and managed not to shoot the tv everytime the Orange Mother****er appeared.

Morning all
CBS but windy earlier. Too windy to hear much of the dawn chorus, but it was bright enough that I could turn off my head torch at 7am.

Morning denizens
Cloudy out but with some gaps of sorts towards the horizon, letting elements of sunrise through; there’s even some clear areas low down towards the south and west. The worst of the cold spell isn’t here yet but the breeze isn’t helping, making 3°C “feel like” -5°; the expected high is 7° this afternoon, though only briefly and accompanied by a chance (40%) of rain. The barometers are down some more at 982/990mB

I spent much of the day going over new forum stuff
But there was some wildlife stuff on later, and then I watched the final episode of Planet Earth III
Tonight, I read some more of Peace and War; nearly at the end of The Forever War now, from what I recollect of my first reading of it
And in the midst of all this, I also got a towel wash done
Monday again tomorrow. Today, I made a copy of the leave-accrual spreadsheet and updated it for this year. Might take a week soon
Goodnight all

Tea: ribeye steak with fried onions and chips
The sky suddenly cleared towards sunset, so it brightened up a bit
It’s going to be a cold week though, below zero most nights

Yeh, happy B day LM. Much better to be 60 than not far off from 80.

Morning all
Dull and very wet. Raining. Currently 4 degrees ('feels like' 1) with a high of 8 expected. Rain set to continue until mid afternoon when it may turn to snow. Barometer down to 1002 mBar.
Sunrise 07:15; Sunset 17:16 GMT
Today I mark the commencement of my 6th decade of existence. Although I suppose technically that may have been last year seeing as age is a lagging indicator.Last edited by ladymuck; Yesterday, 11:19.

Morning.
Sunday.
Wet.
Grey.
Sunless.
Dreary.
Chilly in here at 12.3 deg, 11 in the kitchen, 9 in the leanto.
997 mBar, 29.44 in Hg, 747.8 Torr, 14.46 psi, (down from 1008 last night), 59% RH (Lidl electric).
Meanwhile on the 16th of March 2020 Brillo, BR14, and scruff popped in, LM remarked on how quiet the airport was becoming and how quiet M&S was as she wended her weary way home, whereas NF hadn't noticed any change in the amount of traffic in that Leicester and I just had my tea.
Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: book.
Sun came out: Walk (abbreviated, towpath) walked in the sunshine, after which it got darker & darker, impressive clap of thunder, got home in time to avoid the hailstorm and more thunder.
Now getting outside a mug of mediocre yet consistent coffee.
Tea: baked beans with baked spud, toast, and scrambled egg. Nice enough. Entertainment: the poetry crap <click>.
Cocked up the viewing for this evening: Oak island nutjobbery repeat is at 19:00 and the Ice thing is at 20:00, which is unfortunate as I watched the nutjobbery last Monday and I'll be watching Sergeant Cork in preference to the other crap.
Sergeant Cork S3 E4 "The amateur spy". Amusing enough.

Morning denizens
It got very windy late last night, and the weather app was proclaiming that it would snow overnight! It was still asserting that snow was happening, right then, when I awoke this morning, despite it being obvious from a glance out of the window that there was nothing more than wintry drizzle out there
So no snow, but it’s a grey, cold, drizzly start, and expected to continue that way all day. The wind seems to have backed off a bit but it’s still enough to make the current 2°C “feel like” -8°; the forecast high is 6°. And the barometers are back down to 990/998mB

There was a reasonable amount of wildlife stuff on today
And this evening I continued reading Peace and War, in which relativity plus compound interest seems like a win, until the 98% tax rate is taken into consideration
Goodnight all
