Dinner was fish and chips from Mick's Chips up the road. They used to be cash only but I see they now take cards.

I didn't leave at 2pm, and will instead leave at 1pm tomorrow.

Hopefully the shower will arrive back from being reconfigured for high pressure water flow in the morning.

Tea has been roast chicken thighs and chips with ketchup

Accompanied by a new Police Interceptors - though possibly not that new in terms of the events shown, as it was with Nottinghamshire plod, who were the subjects of preceding series, and the rest of this series has been with Northamptonshire

Popped down and gave the inside of the fridge a quick wash with some warm soapy water, and left the door slightly ajar so it has a chance to dry overnight. I probably didn't do a perfect job, but it's free and no longer has any obvious spills so what more do they want

I would have done it earlier if I'd thought it through, though. The overarching storeroom and all the little storerooms off have concrete floors, which aren't that comfortable to kneel on when it's getting chilly. And as it's dark, I had to come back up and get the head torch so I could see what I was doing without dragging it out under the lights, which are also on countdown timer switches and thus turn off after a couple of minutes anyway

Next, I need to clean the shelves as they're slightly too big for the dishwasher, though the plastic trays from the door and the "salad crisper" ones from the bottom fitted in there. Once that lot's taken down and reinstalled tomorrow, it'll be ready to go to its new home - they're collecting it around 7pm

Just been advising a ClientCo manager that "requesting a new report 3 months after go live" (my words) is not the same as an "urgent bug fix" (his words).
The system works the way it was designed to based on the requirements that he was involved in creating. If we were not made aware of the requirement during design or testing, and it's taken 3 months after go live for it to be thought up, then it's not a) urgent or b) a bug.

    Lunch: a Pukka steak slice

There's still some fluffy bits hither and yon, but it's generally cleared up and started turning sunny sooner than forecast

    Morning all, still in Sussex

Dull and damp out. Much rain overnight. Currently 8 degrees with a high of 9 expected. Barometer at 1009 mBar.

I am hoping the boiler work completes before 2pm so I can head home in nicer driving conditions. I have a 4pm meeting so if that cut off is missed then I'm here till gone 5pm.

    Morning.

    Wednesday.

    Damply dry.

    Grey.

Hints of blue sky but not many.

Hints of sun through the gloom.

Chilly side of chilly at 13 deg in here, 12 deg in the kitchen, 9.5 deg in the leanto.

    Sun's out.

1010.5 mBar, 29.84 in Hg, 757.94 Torr, 14.656 psi, (up from 1008 last night), 57% RH (Lidl electronic with the dehumidifier on for an hour & a half).

Meanwhile on the 4th of December 2019 more BTVS & Angel were watched along with some criticism of JW who thought he could produce 3 shows at the same time, including Firefly, which, oddly enough, he couldn't, and the quality shows, whereas NF's soup had come to fruition in very acceptable terms, with five portions for the freezer, presumably in addition the one that was consumed immediately.

Walk (unabbreviated) walked in the grey gloom: not very sprightly this morning for some reason. Probably did too much yesterday with the Tesco & Aldi shop on top.

    Sun's still out.

    Lunch: brunch.

Entertainment: Y&Y waffling on about "my voice is my password" and how to get around that to steal everybody's money.

Freecell score: 100%, running average: 80%.

House very roughly vacced. Didn't move much to vac underneath, couldn't be arsed, there's too many things on top of other things. There's a society for that apparently.

    Tea: beans on toast etc.

Entertainment: Nazi hunter thing: Martin Bormann. Well they found him eventually. . And he wasn't in Uncle Adolph's Bar & Grill in Argentina after all.

Digging for Britain: what colour is her hair in this one? It's the only inneresting thing about the programme.

    Maigret.

    Morning denizens

    Gloomy, grey, rainy start out

Back to not-so-warm too: currently 4°C but not getting any better than 6°. The barometers are back down a little at 998/1006mB. And the rain is expected to continue for another couple of hours with the gloom persisting after that, though it may clear up late in the afternoon - though this will just cause a cold night, dipping below freezing again

I found time to do some more mucking around with Swift and Bluesky stuff until, inevitably, I got bogged down on something and gave up for now

Then to reading: I resumed Shepperton Babylon: The Lost Worlds of British Cinema, in which Ealing Studios is getting off to a very shaky start but is about to be saved by the arrival of Gracie Fields and George Formby

Wednesday tomorrow! Get through that and I only have to get through Thursday!

    Goodnight all

I checked Freecycle and there were people asking for both
Useful, Freecycle, I moderate for my local town. Used it to get rid of a whole lot of heavy tiles that were filling up my shed. Builders etc. always order far more stuff than they use.

    Just back from Karaoke.
