Got some more work done on the new forum today, and also squeezed in a bit of work with RealityKit, learning about low level stuff where you get to stuff bytes defining the colours of pixels into blocks of memory, just like the good old days

Tonight, I read some more of A Gun for Sale, in which the plot is thickening in admirable and unexpected ways

Monday again tomorrow. Only two more working Mondays this year after that, though!

    Goodnight all

It’s recovered! I almost emailed him, but decided to leave it a while as it must be annoying enough having to fix it on a Sunday night without the likes of me pestering you

Afternoon all, greetings from Sussex by the Sea

Sunny with fluff. Still damp from much rain yesterday. Currently 10 degrees ('feels like' 7) with a high of 11 expected. Barometer at 1000 mBar.

    Sunrise 07:31; Sunset 16:06 GMT

Uneventful drive down. Made bacon sandwiches.

    Morning denizens

It was foggy when I looked outside late last night and there’s been overnight rain while I slept, but the skies are clearing rapidly and it looks like it’ll be a sunny day, for now anyway. It’ll be windy too though, so it may be variable as different conditions could blow in rapidly. It’s 7°C but “feels like” 1° because of that wind, with the predicted high being just 8° for an hour or so mid-afternoon; the barometers are further down at 984/992mB

    Morning.

    Sunday.

    Wet overnight.

    Blue sky in one direction.

Wanly sunny from the other through the grey.

Chilly in here at 14.2 deg, 12 deg in the kitchen, 10 in the leanto.

998 mBar, 29.47 in Hg, 748.6 Torr, 14.4747 psi, (down from 1003 last night), 56% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 2nd of March 2020: watches.

Shopping trip to Morrisons done dusted washed dried sanitised & nearly put away.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: listening to the dehumidifier rattling away.

Noticed that Tim Berners Lee was on Desert Island Discs last week.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002m96c

    Well there's a thing.

    Short sharp shower of hail.

Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the sunshine.

Tea: beans on toast. Entertainment: something on R4 about joining airfryers to Star Trek(tm) which made little or no sense to me. Then again, these days almost nothing makes any sense to me any more.

    Book.

Tina Turner in concert San Bernadino 1993: Legs. I like that bit.

Entertainment: Sergeant Cork. "the case of the gold salesman". Loan shark.

Today’s reduced quota of wildlife programmes was again supplemented with an episode of Kingdom on iPlayer

And tonight, I started reading A Gun for Sale by Graham Greene, a gritty crime story he wrote in the 1930s before Brighton Rock

Managed to finish today's toothpaste inspection before rain got heavy. Need me phone to track location and take photos and swipe screens just don't work when they are wet. With GPS on, runs out of charge in about 2 hours thanks to that stupid Google update. Fortunately got a decent little portable charger for a whole £11.33.
