That reminds me of a couple of excellent sandwich shops on the way to work when I was in Geordie land.

First one a pork butcher who did a very tasty mix of the scraps from his cooked meat slicer, including stuffing.

Second a newsagent who always carried a decent stock of interesting sandwiches. His egg mayonnaise ones had grated carrot, onion, coleslaw and probably other stuff too - absolutely delicious.

All in half stotties, of course.

Half a stotty with bacon, egg, sausage, beefburger, black budding and, as I'm a perverted deviant, brown sauce. Yum.

    Otherwise:

    Marmite (with or without cucumber)
Peanut butter (with or without lettuce)
    Cold sausage with brown sauce
    Hot fishfingers and mayonaise.

Lots of it looks amazing, but the burgers and sandwiches just look OTT to me normally, what use is a burger you can't hold? Just get two regular burgers one after the other!

I wonder if anyone does a MvF tour...

The one thing that really makes me hungry is seeing some of the sandwiches on programs like Man vs Food. The barbecue pork, corned beef, and brisket in particular always makes me hungry.

Accidentally put some ciabatta, brie and ham in my basket whilst at Waitrose last night.

    It's all your fault.
