Had to put it on for a bit yesterday to dry my clothes after I went for a walk to look at the flooding in Durham:

    That's the A1 I believe.

Oh carp, I just remembered, I have a stack of film DVDs on the double radiator at my lodgings. I hope the owner doesn't crank up the central heating this weekend, or they'll turn into a large blob of goo!

It isn't likely though, as he's as mean as a rattlesnake when it comes to the heating, and won't turn it on until the temperature dips below about -20. Suits me - nothing worse than trying to sleep in a stifling hot room.

I tend to put heating on when I realise:
    1. The washing isn't drying
    2. There is too much condensation in the bathroom

I'm glad I'm not the only one with proper heating technology.

Why 'caved in' - is it an endurance test?

Ours is back on the morning/evening settings - on at 6am off at 7.30, on at 3.00pm until 8pm.

however people in our house keep getting confused by the big button for heating and think its just a 1hour boost. so if its pressed at 9pm then it will stay on until 7.30am, it just moves onto the next timer settings.

You might think of doing some exercises on each side of your body where you do a little more on the weaker side than the weak side, but getting rid of a difference in weakness between two sides can take a very long time and you have to wonder whether it's worth it; you'll always have a weaker side

You might think of doing some exercises on each side of your body where you do a little more on the weak side than the strong side, but getting rid of a difference in strength between two sides can take a very long time and you have to wonder whether it's worth it; you'll always have a dominant side, and believe it or not it can be different in lower body and upper body (although my old teacher on the fitness trainer course would shoot me for saying that). For example; many sprinters have a stronger left leg if they're right handed, as most start with the left leg forward in the blocks; they can train like mad to get both legs even but it just doesn't happen as they instinctively 'kick' into top gear with the left leg. Same goes for tennis players whose right arm is stronger. Actually, when researchers do strength and muscle girth measurements they find that most right handed men's right arms are stronger than the left. I'll leave you to guess why; it's not a neurological thing.
