We live near canals, so have noticed an increase in damp of late, which means the heating will have to go on.

No insulation or decent double glazing in the house we're renting.

Oh carp, I just remembered, I have a stack of film DVDs on the double radiator at my lodgings. I hope the owner doesn't crank up the central heating this weekend, or they'll turn into a large blob of goo!

It isn't likely though, as he's as mean as a rattlesnake when it comes to the heating, and won't turn it on until the temperature dips below about -20. Suits me - nothing worse than trying to sleep in a stifling hot room.
