    Wife swap party.

Bastard wouldn't swap back and I've been stuck with her for 12 years.

Met her at a goth event in Whitby. She was wearing her vampie fangs and contact lenses!

Met mine when I was 17 - working for the MOD. Took us a year to get it together (he had a gf - I made sure I was a sympathetic ear when she dumped him). We used to make sure we were on the security rota together (staying after everyone left to check the cupboards were locked) and snog behind the cabinets.

Married a few years later, and just done 20 years (I would say 'celebrated', but as he forgot, we didn't...)

    How did you land yours?

Houseshare in London, while I was a student. I had no idea she had a crush on me until one day she just kissed me out-of-the-blue. It'll be 10 years in March, and 3 years married the following month.

Funny to see the 'crash' romances - must be something in that - my parents had a head-on collision as their first meeting. mum in a Triumph (Spitfire, I think), and dad in a Healey Sprite. He still has the wrecked steering wheel from that car hung up in the utility room - fits his chest perfectly.

Me and Mrs SB have been together over 20 years now, and will have been married for 20 years in a few months time.
Lots of things drew us together. Her mother and that Black Cat of hers playing no small part. Smells a bit but has a heart of Gold.
Wouldn't change her for the world....................

Next year will be 25 years together.

He was lodging at a mate from work's house. She and her boyfriend organised a pool competion and since he wasn't from our dept she got Mr C to be the referee.

He allowed her to cheat outrageously and actually persuaded most that it was legitimate - I liked the cut of his gib.

    And being a biker helped.

Mrs NAT and I have just completed 20 years also. We met at University in one of the societies. I fancied her from the first meeting. She thought it was cool to have a male friend... after a few months of inviting myself to dinner, she finally got the hint, and much to my surprise consented to be my girlfriend, rather than take out an injunction.

I still fancy her - she's got better looking over the years, and even more fun to be with.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

I broke both my arms in a motorcycle accident in Dec 2005 and was recovering staying at my parents in Devon for a couple of months in the Dec - Feb 2006. She was a friend of my parents, and was going through a divorce.

She came around to collect something from my mother and felt sorry for me. :-) Used to go to the pub up the road, exciting trips to Ikea etc... anything really just to get out cos I was so bored. She was nice too, but took a while to get there.

Got married this June just gone.

It is funny though if I hadn't broken my arms I probably wouldn't have met her.
