To be fair, the Mail Online is a different beast to the Mail online newspaper, with a different demographic and its own editorial team. If you have to read the Mail, the latter is the one to aim for..

I don't know - I've never paid for (or read) the wail.
And my last contact with the Sun newspaper was sitting on on one while on a rainy train station while waiting for a train. When the irritated owner came back to retrieve it he was less than happy when I pointed out that it was moist and warm.

Oh try reading it online, the story is about a quarter of the page covered by ads and it takes too long to load, crashes Chrome as well.Originally posted by cojak View Post

Some people don't appreciate the finer things in life like a dry newspaper!

I’m getting friend notices swamped by ads these days so it’s getting less and less useful for me.
I don’t mind some ads but when there’s more than anything of interest I tune out.

I still use it, it's great for getting info from & interacting with people/subjects I'm interested in, e.g. my local community, hobbies etc., and also keeping in touch with friends & family I rarely see. I'm not aware of any other widely used tool or app which offers the same.Originally posted by jamesbrown View PostFacebook is still a thing? Weird.

Gen X is 1965 to 1980. I suppose 43/44 could just about be considered "early forties".

The 25-34 age group is still the second most active ahead of 35-44. The share of users under 25s has been declining for several years now whilst the over 65s have been increasing.Originally posted by jamesbrown View PostFacebook is still a thing? Weird.
As far as I can tell from my kids, under 25s hang out mainly on Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok.

I'm in my early 40s. Sounds like snowflakes amass on Facebook, though.
