Dixon of Dock Green was rather good.

I have another chance to not watch Doctor Who this evening on BBC3. .

I'd have much preferred Jo Martin as Doctor Who rather than the current incumbent. .

    Hmm...

Watched the first two episodes. Maybe it'll grow on me. All seems a bit too happy clappy at the moment.

Depends if Ncuti is more Tennant than Capaldi. He could be quite fun. Or it could be total mess. No doubt we will soon find out.

But yes, there is much better stuff out there right now. Granite City and Red Eye for example

Watched Episode one at 13 years old (with deeply confused parents and grandfather!), saw every one up to Colin Baker but lost interest about half through his first series, re-awakened interest with Ecclestone and followed it to about three episodes in to the deeply disappointing Capaldi, gave up completely after a couple of Chibnall and Jodie bore fests. Enjoyed the last three episodes very much and hoping for more of the same with Ncuti who looks like he may be fun (and let's hope he finds his trousers...).

Three proper Doctors in all that time, Tom Baker, Ecclestone and Tennant. Jodie could have been good but destroyed by the dire scriptwriting. None of the others really got it. YMMV of course!

Happy 60th Birthday today Doctor Who

Well there it goes again. Another Birthday and you just keep going. So in keeping with something futuristic I had Chat-GPT create a little ditty

In the heart of time, where echoes play,
A tale unfolds, a wondrous array.
Sixty years of adventures in the blue,
The Doctor's journey, old and new.

    Regenerations, a cosmic dance,
    A Time Lord's fate, a second chance.
From Hartnell's wisdom to Whittaker's grace,
The Doctor's essence, a timeless embrace.

In a TARDIS that hums with a timeless song,
Through the vortex, where moments throng.
From Gallifrey's towers to Earth's humble sod,
The Doctor strides where the timelines nod.

Daleks and Cybermen, shadows in space,
Silurians awakening, a Time Lord's grace.
Through the corridors of time and space,
The Doctor races, a swift, enigmatic chase.

Companions fleeting, like stars in the night,
Each one leaving a mark, a shared delight.
From Rose to Bill, and those in between,
A tapestry woven, in moments unseen.

The sonic hums, a sonic screwdriver's glow,
In the hands of the Doctor, the stories grow.
Through pandemics and wars, and battles untold,
The Doctor persists, a legend to behold.

From black-and-white classics to vibrant hues,
The Doctor's journey, a vibrant muse.
A celebration echoes through the years,
Sixty times 'round the sun, and still it steers.

To the future, where the TARDIS flies,
New stories unfold, under alien skies.
With each passing moment, the legacy expands,
The Doctor endures, across shifting sands.

So here's to the Doctor, a hero so grand,
A wanderer, a savior, through time's vast land.
Sixty years of magic, in a universe so wide,
The Doctor's journey, an eternal guide.

Happy Birthday and here's looking for some great shows!
