Rishi Sunak has admitted to reading Jilly Cooper novels for ‘escapism’.
(No mention of his kids.)

All that is probably too woke for R!sh!'s household.

Rishi Sunak has admitted to reading Jilly Cooper novels with his two children for ‘escapism’.
There are so many double entendres we can make about what is likely to become a memorable moment in British politics, only to be compared to an episode from The Thick of It.
Opening up about his guilty pleasures, the politician said he enjoys reading novels by the author of ‘The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous’ in his spare time.
Though he did not specify which ones, it was previously reported his favourite one is ‘Riders’ – the steamiest in the Rutshire Chronicles series.
After touching on net migration and teachers’ salaries, Mr Sunak detailed his passion for the books.
He told ITV’s This Morning: ‘You need to have escapism in your life. You need to be able to get away from the day to day, whether it is the TV you watch or the books you read.’
‘Fundamentally I am a dad, I play top trumps, Lego, I read Jilly Cooper with them, I am unclear how that has emerged,’ the Tory leader told viewers.
Forced to recover after Alison Hammond joked that she loves a Jilly Cooper book, especially the ‘sexy bity’, he insisted: ‘She has done a lot of different books.’
Away from ‘bonkbuster’ literature, the PM was briefly asked about letting Suella Braverman ‘off the hook’ after clearing her without an investigation of breaching the ministerial code.
