You could join Extinction Rebellion/Just Stop Oli. I thought all retirees did that, by the look of them.

Nah, we got hundreds of them already....

Get a hobby is the best advice I was given. Doesn't really matter what it is - model making (either kind!), Am Dram, gardening, anything vaguely active - but it gives you a degree of purpose, which is way to avoid being a total couch potato.

I had to get a 30l Speidel fermenting drum for the final press of apples this weekend.

Grow stuff, make stuff, fix stuff.

It's a way forward, not just for those who are retired

I’m taking my Lowland Leader qualification to lead guided walks. I’ll probably move onto Hills and Moorland Leader after that.

Judging by the impressive growth from the long expired stuff I randomly threw on the garden 3 weeks ago, it grows quite well.

Building sheds is good for retirees.

    Digging the garden.

    Laying out a new lawn.

    Painting the house.

    Painting the house again.

Finding a local Man Shed. .

  • Things to do for the oncoming wave of benched contractors and retirees

I thought it would be nice to collect a list of things to do for the oncoming wave of benched contractors, retirees and other assorted non productive types that litter this place.

Working...
