Massive shortage of Foie gras, Truffles and Wagyu beef and Iberico ham.

Brexit has destroyed the country!

I've always done it when I've felt like it. In this case, the idea that the army providing essential services is akin to martial law is so egregiously silly, that I didn't want to detract from that by mockery over spelling mistakes.Originally posted by ladymuck View Post
Is this a new Mod service?
Careful with the use of the B word. The reasons for there being a deficit of truck drivers and whether this is a good thing has been discussed in the sub forum and doesn't need airing here.

I did specify 'credible'Originally posted by ladymuck View Post
Anyway it's about time the army did something useful. Moving stuff around is what they're good at, might as well get some value out of them.

So deploying some RLC resources to fix a temporary transport shortage is equivalent to a declaration of Martial Law?

Can you also change "seam" to "seem" in Paddy's post?Originally posted by NotAllThere View Post
Changed it for you. I was tempted to change it to Marital though.
Also, the driver shortage is nothing to do with Brexit. It's a mixture of IR35 woes, and the fact that drivers can put their feet up at home while being paid 80% of their salary by the Covid job retention scheme, which I think runs until the end of September.Last edited by OwlHoot; 9 August 2021, 10:12.

Pay peanuts - get no takers. Brexit & Covid just exposed it and removed the cheap labour they had been abusing.Originally posted by BlueSharp View PostBrexit, Covid and of course IR35 changes smashed a lot of the drivers out of the business. Ironic Grant now has to deal with some IR35 fall out.
