Got me wondering; am I the only one who 'obtains' a souvenir from memorable contracts?
A shoulder badge I picked-up when on a Defence Contract is probably my most 'treasured' contracting souvenir; couple of beer glasses 'borrowed' from bars when I've been away working have a lot of hazy memories attached; an ID card which wouldn't mean much to anyone but me.
Anyone else got reminders that are worthless in cash but priceless in the times you had?
Sorry for the ramble....just turned 50 and pi$$ed

Neat Bourbon tastes to me rather synthetic and paint-strippery, i.e. how I imagine paint stripper would taste if one was stupid enough to try sipping it

Still, you like a Maker's Mark, so you can't be too bad. Other good Beam Suntory bourbons are Knob Creek and Basil Hayden's.

I have various logo marketing swag from clients. I then tend to offload them on family and friends. After all there are only so many insulated coffee cups you need. Though some clients do give more useful stuff like water bottles and clothes for gardening/decorating.

I've got a variety of Yahoo! merch from my stint there in 2007; Californian Internet companies tend to be big on such stuff. T-shirts, USB sticks (probably 64MB), flip-flops (with their logo, reversed, in the sole so you leave a trail of them in your footprints on the beach), and a lanyard bearing the logo of the product the team I was with worked on for about a year but which was then cancelled a month or so from launch in one of their innumerable reorganisations

I still have the Pit Lane pass for when we did pre-sales work for F1 (France, Magny-Cours course). Unfortunately, it was not valid for race day, so we had to slum in in the stands for the actual race.
We never got past pre-sales stage, but it was a business trip which truly was a "jolly" - felt more like a weekend break away with mates.
I think I still have my security pass in a drawer somewhere for when i did some work for NATO in Geilenkirchen (AWACS related). I'm sure i was meant to return it when the engagement ended.
