I've not had a break in contracts since January 2005. (Many holidays, but no contract breaks).

It sounds terrible, but they just seem to turn up at the right time for me. I've only got one through an application - the rest found me or were through previous contacts. Not sure if it'll continue like that, though - ITJobsWatch doesn't make good reading for my lot.

Longest was three months, shortest a couple of hours. In the past few years it's tended towards the longer end of the scale than the shorter.

being honest the last few have taken at most hours except when I've been fussy over what I wanted....
Can't see it changing after this contract as the client is as good as I can get and the CV additions are worthy of an interview if nothing else....
