Otherwise Seville - yes Europe so some risk around weather but a lovely city if you do want a shorter flight.

A great destination. Different yet not too far away. Long time British ally, lovely people who are at the same time traditionally arab/muslim yet tolerant. Weather will be fantastic in April. Highly recommended just be sensibly respectful to the local traditions and that respect is returned in spades.Originally posted by WTFH View PostChedi is my favourite, but the Shangri-la might be more family oriented
And if you tell the locals you are a Man Utd fan you have friends for life!

Or Puerto del Santiago; superb beach (albeit black), quiet and not that commercial. We stayed in a cheapo hotel, being skinflints, but plenty of nice ones there (including one with a 100' waterfall on the front...)Originally posted by BlasterBates View PostAgree the Canaries....Puerto de la Cruz
You will love it
Weather across Teneriffe won't be an issue. It's almost invariably a warm spring. West cost preferable to the North since the wind gets stopped by the socking great volcano (Mount Teide - take a drive up there) in the middle of the island.

1 more vote for the Canaries, good weather all around plenty of activities and cheap. Flight time is about 4h. Personal preference is costa Adeje on Tenerife.

Get a caravan in the lakes. If it rains give them a kagool and wellies and let them play in the steam building dams and the like..... oh, wrong generation sorry.

Canaries are usually decent weather, and not too far.
We are looking at Cape Verde as well which is supposed to be decent weather.

Nice Holiday Destination In April
So I have got a week off work in April and want to go away the week after Easter for a week or so. Nowhere fancy, kids want chill+sun, so probably hotel and pool etc. Europe bit risky weather wise - can anyone recommend anywhere ?Tags: None
