Lots of chips on shoulders too .... apparently us 'real' contractors are superior to permies and seudo-contractors and they should all respect our authoriteeee

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful Wife
And you may ask yourself, "Well... how did I get here?"

The point I am trying to make is:
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...
Same as it ever was...Same as it ever was...

The IT contractor celebrates they don't need to do permie character building workshops like 'how to maximise the smugness of explaining you're a certified scrum master'

The IT consultant teaches the workshop and charges £5000/weekend for it

I was a consultant for 14 years, now a contractor. Seems the same to me except the projects are longer and I get to keep what was the "margin".

Reasonably accurate summary, especially number 4 which is a card that's been played so liberally that people twitch in fear at the concept let alone the reality. Unless of course it's a member of certain racial groupings being racist in which case that's totally ignored.

Quite like Stacey, she might be a bit dumbed down for BB3 to connect with the yoof but her programs are OK and she is quite tasty.
bit young & dippy acting for me but interesting.

I wonder if the increased Americanisation of UK culture contributes at all - in the US a 'contractor' is very different to the UK meaning.
