Yep CWOT specifying your location, what you have to realise is all pimps do is skim read and their own in house database/software will have picked your cv out depending on if you have the correct "buzzwords" on it.

So you think it is important information, so much so that you would bin a cv without it, but you yourself acknowledge the use of, and have yourself used, a false (postal redirection) address, so what value is it adding ??
In addition, as a Ltd., my company postal address is that of my accountant, so of no value in determining my actual location vis a vis locality.
Well, okay - that was all a little bit more controversial than I anticipated. I quite like the idea of chucking it in small print in the footer - easy enough for an agent to strip should they wish, but it's there for anyone curious and doesn't impact on content space.
NLUK - I take your point on "How does it help", but they are human when all said and done. To me, lack of information breeds conjecture, but I could be very wrong.
I put my name and Tittle in the Header and my contact details in the footer.If the job description requires a local candidate only you could just change the footer to a local address.How I get to work is my problem.

+1 Manners is a 2 way street, I prefer to judge people on a more substantial basis than the simpleton approach of 'no address on their CV = straight in the bin', i.e. A radical idea being does it look like they have the skills to do the job?, says more about you than the applicant if you don't.

Bimbo is not a sexist term and is not referred to a woman. I have been called bimbo many times despite being in advanced stage of decomposition.
In my case it has got nothing to do with how far you live from the client, it's more to do with good manners, something which is in short supply on this board more often than not.

If there ever was a chance that this could be remotely acceptable in permieland, it makes no sense at all in contracting or freelancing.
Even this is backwards. If anything, yes, maybe it is still important for permie roles (i was talking more aboutcontracting) as it is a bigger decision for a permie if they were to need to move for the role, or for the company if paying a relocation bonus.
It matters not, surely the contractor knows and by dint of applying also knows by said dint he can service the gig irrespective of location.
Unless, as I suspect, you are looking for an employee.
