Where has been the best place you’ve worked as a contractor? Which client paid your invoices on time? Who understood IR35 legislation and put your contract together with this is mind? Where did you get paid the best rate?
All these things and more contribute to being a great company for contractors to work for, so where have you seen them executed best?
We want to know about the companies that ensure they have policies in place to cater for contractors working in their offices through everything from working hours to facilities, flexibility etc.
Is there any client you would strongly recommend to your fellow contractors?

Try being a contractor at the clients I’ve had.

Use Glass Door, Linked In and HMRC
I would check:
1. Recommend sites such as Glass Door to assess employee feedback and interview feedback.
2. Look at the Linked In profiles of the senior management. Assess how they write their profiles.
3. HMRC to see that the company will not go bankrupt.
4. Check sites that identify late payers.
5. Google for any legals cases that the company has been involved in

CGI
IR35 wise contract was excellent through the agency and had a clean bill of health from QDOS and the main keypoint was working practices which were respected on their part for me being a independant third party contractor (which I pretty much supplied all my own equipment without issues).
Their managers are quite relaxed and as such I had zero to minimal interference and I had freedom to decide and choose how projects were done along with equipment and timescales & planning.
I wasn't on set times for working hours but again this wasn't a issue really as I chose to work very early in the morning and leave in the afternoon but alot of this boiled down to how much time I wanted to dedicate to my work.
I didn't use their facilities but from what I saw, there were a lot of nice amenities for anyone to use along with hotdesks for contractors/visitors and they had functions like pizza friday where everyone was invited (Visitors, contractors,permies and guests).
Rates wise was slightly above the standard market rate for my job spec but as such I found this only minor point concidering how good my work life was with them.
Overall; A very chilled environment with a respectful hands-off attitude towards contractors

What I will share, without giving away names, is EVERY client I've contracted with since I started 2007 has always paid invoices on time. Never had a problem with clients not getting the environment set up for me right. Permies have (with little exception) always been positive about me and my work.
Maybe there are bad clients out there but I suspect they are the minority and not the norm.
Same with agencies; I generally work through a specialist lot who are niche. Never ever had a problem with them. I have though also worked through some of the big names but, again, never had problem (their staff can be more 'fat tie and hair gel but they are still normally OK peeps).

No way you will get this information for free... and contractors are the wrong people to be asked these kind of things.
Reviews on Glassdoor would be the closest you can get to what you want.

My agents, whom I trust and have worked with for years, source good clients for me. By sharing this information this would put extra competition the way of my trusted agency. Not really in my, or their, best interests I'm afraid.
Saying that, the current client I am direct, but still not sharing for the same reasons
