There's a lot for me to unpack in those two sentences.
You may be right about the FCSA rules comment. But that said, I've not seen anyone actually accuse any of the 4 companies of anything other than being majority foreign owned which is no issue as far as I understand. There's not been...

I've been reading over the various threads about Clarity (and don't forget there were another 3 umbrellas removed and reinstated at the same time) and I can't actually see anything that confirms that the reason for their removal was down to the foreign ownership. Maybe I've missed something.

And I simply mentioned it because you mentioned it in your response. There was never any intention to conflate any links - just picking up on something you raised. Personally I think that foreign ownership of Clarity is a bit of a storm in a teacup and I've zero reason to think that it is any bad...

Eek posted in this thread and mentioned it. Just responding to that post. I'm pretty sure there's no connection between Clarity and Honest. I've edited my response to add context....Last edited by Nothing to see here; 12 December 2025, 12:21.

There's no connection as far as I'm aware. I was just responding to Eek's post where he brought it up....

You'd think that the owners of Honest Payroll would have responded to the article in some way but it seems like radio silence. They have phoenixed as Honest Payroll Group and it looks...

I assumed that all this was due to the FCSA requirement than an umbrella can't be majority owned by foreign individuals/business but I've since seen someone in a different forum suggesting that it's due to the "sins of a another member of the group". I suspect the individual make that point...

It looks like the FCSA are being sued by the 4 Cypriot owned umbrellas: https://caseboard.io/cases/4dd7154e-...4-e846aaf62687

We are seeing agencies that we work with wanting to work more closely with us as a result of the impending changes. We are seeing relationships being less transactional and more collaborative.
Smaller umbrellas may struggle as the pressure to give credit increases: https://www.freelan...

Another 3 owned by the same outfit have also been removed. Payments Pro, i4 and Numbermill. Something big is going on.

I am new here but I've been in the umbrella sector for 20 years plus. I can categorically guarantee that I have no links to Lucy other than having met her a few times at industry events.
I suspect we will be hearing more about the Cypriot firm - it looks like they own half a dozen pretty...
