Elysium really made a meal of their group strategy in order to maximise profits. Telling people they may have to testify, even getting people who would sign up with them to contemplate settling. I have the correspondence they sent out. Makes me sick.

I would say people need to go in with eyes open when engaging legal services to handle your affairs, and periodically assess the situation whether they are getting what they want and receiving value for money.

As much as I am wary of advising others in engaging with Elysium with regards to the W28St correspondence (because of the red flags already discussed), they did do an analysis of the FS Capital v Adams case.

It does seem to me that they have finally realised that they can't extract the alleged loans via Isle of Man law, which seems to have now run its course, so now they are trying to somehow implicate it to English law through a mixture of contrived application of law and confected paperwork.

If they are claiming they are CCA regulated, then seeing as the CCA is authorised and regulated by the FCA, I would think it should definitely be reported to the FCA making clear that W28 has laid claim to a disputed loan many years later and are now claiming for the first time that they are regulated...
