That sounds more like DV than SC.
I've had SC and been to China and worked with folk from Iran, who also had SC....

Had two calls from agents today, both roles seemed genuine but one was TCS so was rejected due to past experiences. Apparently the agent had never heard anyone say a bad word about them
. Well he did today!
Still waiting for the paperwork to appear for my FTC extension so happy to see...

On the subject of AI I had an interview for a position last month via Teams. The chap interviewing me joined and then someone with their camera turned off joined too. Said hello etc and the chap said please ignore the other person as it's an AI.

Me neither, plus if you are working on a new framework or one with recent releases then I've found the AI to really struggle and mix framework version syntax....

Over the last 15 years I've had multiple SC roles in both the private and public sector. Not once have I been restricted on what I can work on and have never had to wait until the SC is approved until I start.
I've also never been escorted to the toilet, though one manager did mention...

Looks like I'm going to get offered another 12 month extension on a FTC. Programme is doomed but the work-stream that I'm on is only mildly depressing.
FTC salary is good, with great benefits such as 8 weeks holiday & WFH
Not sure if a bird in the hand etc......

These type of questions say more about the interviewer than the interviewee. When I get something like this I see it as a lucky escape as invariably the place is staffed by morons....
