You are responsible for your own tax code if you fill in a tax return (which many permies do).
HMRC assign tax codes based on what you tell them. There’s a standard code, and then things get added or taken away based on what makes you different.

Morning all
CBS, etc and a beautiful sunrise just after 6am.
Pleasant walk, the wind was gentle and didn't pick up like it has the last couple of mornings.

I think he meant as the main (or sole) source of money.
The problems with your idea of scrapping council tax for pensioners include:
1.. Council tax at £6.5k gross is not the same for every property in the UK. If you take that figure, then some will be considerably worse off. If...

My introverted neighbour wanted to thank his cardiologist for a recent piece of surgery. He wrote the card "I hope I never have to see you again"
The words might not have been perfect, but at least his heart was in the right place.

A beautiful sunrise with no breeze, but an hour into our walk and the wind has returned.

Just passed the 1,000 mile mark on the new jalopy. Yes, it's <7 second 0-60, yes, i've done a few tip runs in it. Quite economical, cost about £18 for that distance.

When I think about sibling rivalry, I can't help thinking about Albert Einstein's brother Frank.
He had his head screwed on.

Overnight frost made for a bit of ice build up on my boots when walking through the fields. It was CBS and chilly earlier, but there’s some cloud coming in now.

CBS, etc, but signs of frost in some of the fields. A very peasant walk that started around 5:45, done my 10,000 steps already

My dad is in his 90s and is perfectly capable of using a mobile phone/computer.
People who allegedly are running companies either need to be able to do so using standard technology - computers have been around for over half a century, smart phones for a quarter of a century, this isn't "new...

TFIF, etc.
Overcast, looks like there was some overnight rain, but pleasant enough on our walk. Took delivery of a solar panel for the new shed. Still no word as to when the base is going in.

cloud in the east prevented me seeing sunrise, but it was clear to the west. A very pleasant walk was had, and the cloud has burned off. In other news, I had a BP of 121/78 this morning which is so good, I suspect our Omron is acting up - or maybe the new batteries in it have...

Glorious sunrise earlier at 6:18 (I had to stop and look at my watch) but it has become more overcast since. Mostly high level cloud, doesn't look or feel like rain.
