Absolutely no signs of any recovery. Sorry to start the year off like this but looks like it maybe another 12mths without a contract.
What am I doing wrong!

Seems quite a similar situation over here. Except $200k seems a bit better than the crap we get over here.

No idea what he was trying to achieve with that post, only reading what's been posted above TBF.
Perhaps, the US are also encouraging immigration, seems to be a big money earner for the UK, so would expect the same in the US.
Although I know little of how politics works. I...

Lucky for me, I just managed to get my unaffordable home in London in decent shape after all these years, thinking that living and working in London would give me the best roles and rates.
Just imagine how popular HS2 will be now that everyone has worked out using teams is more efficient...

The wider impact of this is that the recruitment agencies would be closing. Less tax being paid tomthe government etc.
Recruitment agents are usually the grads who didn't get any sort of grad job of uni. The Desmond's and 3rd classes. Not sure what kind of job they could find ATM, with...

Just had a call with an agent who thought he had something for us and we were in the running for. Turns out client hired from another agency and he was disappointed.
5 days onsite, surrey, inside, £500pd, SC cleared. Previously that would have been a 750 role....

I honestly don't think it's coming back.
IT is an affordable luxury for most companies, to help improve efficiency. When companies are efficient there is no need to invest, when the returns are 5/10yrs down the line.

If people are double-dipping (2 contracts at the same time), would this decrease the unemployment statistics?
Double negative but if someone has 2 jobs would that mean the statistics would suggest there were 2 people employed rather than one?

What I don't understand is lack of news on the subject. There is nothing being reported on official channels. Usually when there is such a downturn it's everywhere.

Plagiaium has always been rife through every institution, academy and even workplace environment.
Technical degrees, Maths based will always be harder to copy due to their nature.
My wife has just started a PGCE and her submissions are checked by an automatic checker which...

The Masters from Oxford I paid for using savings and did using annual holiday from work. Defo not free, although I did manage to get it for £10k/3yrs after some accounting magic.
Just checked, same course, is £70k in fees alone now. No idea how people can afford that TBH. But when the...

What was the point of breaking my face reading all those stupid books about software development. I could have just partied and worked in Mcds if the end result is the same.
Right, going boxing to punch someone in the face. He doesn't deserve it but I don't really care.

I have no idea how the stock markets work. In fact, I don't know how anything works tbh. I just want to write application code and do some sports.
Anyway, think I am giving up for any hopes of a recovery soon. I might try setting up an only fans account, perhaps someone will pay for my...
