The great raft spider or fen raft spider (Dolomedes plantarius) is a species of spider in the Pisauridae family.
Like other Dolomedes spiders, it is semi-aquatic, hunting its prey on the surface of water. It occurs mainly in neutral to alkaline, unpolluted water. In Britain it occurs in fens and grazing marsh.
The great raft spider is found in Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Georgia (country), Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden and United Kingdom.Comment
