BP: Can you explain how you get these numbers? I had assumed that the fact there were much greater than the posters total number of posts was caused by a change in board software at some point in the past - but VF's count of 1449 is more than that shown by the board software?

How does that work then? Are there some deleted posts in your count??

If you go to http://forums.contractoruk.com/light-relief/ and click on the number in the "Replies" column of the "test please delete" row, it will show you a list of users with the count of their replies to this thread.

The total shown beneath the username on an individual post, or on a user profile page, is the total number of posts on the board, but posts to any thread in Light Relief aren't counted - a change earlier this year which caused quite a degree of controversy

The figures Scourer posts are the current post counts on TPD
