Spoke to my mammy this morning, she told me to start taking an antibiotic (she is a nurse!!) but if I do that I won't be able to drink ALL weekend, so I think I will just soldier on

Its a myth about not being able to drink while on antibiotics, all it does is reduce the effect them.

You are probably right.... lets face it, she is the woman who said that if I swallowed my chewing gum my guts would stick together.... and if I ate my carrots I would see in the dark.... hmmmnnn Mammy's (whether nurses or not!) tell a lot of fibs!!

My Mum is a nurse also and this is some of the tripe she told me

• If you unscrew your belly button your bum will fall off
• if you swallow an apple pip a tree will start to grow in your stomach
• She can take her eye out and leave it in any room, that's how she knew I was lying
