NewClientCorp have decided to use an open source search engine thingy for the current project, and into the future - I might spend the weekend getting it working for testpleasedelete.com, just so I can jump in when the permy whose job it is to implement and deploy it is having problems, and say "Oh that's easy, all you have to do is <handwaving>"

I bought a battery operated jigsaw from Maplin this morning.

According to the webtulipe, they didn't have any.

The shelves in the shop were groaning under the weight of them.

I think I'll get my dad one for his birthday...

The Battery Jigsaws are good bits of kit, I wouldn't bother with a Cordless circular saw though, they are pants.

It's been a lovely sunny day here since the rain stopped at about 9:30.

The trouble I get with jigsaws is the wonderfully wobbly cut I achieve... even with lots of practice.

It doesn't help that I mark everything up by eye too...

Ah bollocks, the toilet's leaking

The point where the copper pipe is joined to the cistern has developed a steady drip... anybody know anything about plumbing?

Wonder if insulating tape would stop it - I've got some somewhere...

Probly needs a new washer & some thread tape.

That's my cure for everything.

All my years doing carpentry and cabinet making, I've never achieved a straight cut with a jigsaw, and that's using guides too

The kind with the treadle & the wavy up & down arm thing.

The previous owner's husband didn't take it with him when he popped his clogs...
