The Red Book of Hergest version of the Brut begins in the year 680. For the year 689, it reports a "rain of blood" and that milk and butter turned "into blood". In the context of this, for the year 691 it reports,

[-691] A'r lleuat a ymchoelawd yn waedawl liw.

[-691. And the moon turned to the colour of blood.]

This could be an account of the total lunar eclipse of 17th May, 691. (However, the references to blood colours in other contexts in the preceding entries complicates this interpretation. )

On top of Mount Moriah - the Temple area in Jerusalem - sits Dome of the Rock, completed by the Moslems 691 AD.

and why was it called the taylor prism when sennacherib prism would seem to be more appropriate?

You did mean year 691 AD, didn't you?

Not the Chinese, Moslem, Roman Empire, Jewish or one of the other calendars?

"in all the Arab religious institutions during the Sufyani period [661-684 A.D.] there is a complete absence of any reference to Muhammad."

In fact neither the name Muhammad itself nor any Muhammadan formulae (that he is the prophet of God) appears in any inscription dated before the year 691 A.D.. This is true whether the main purpose of the inscription is religious, such as in supplications, or whether it was used as a commemorative inscription, though including a religious emphasis, such as the inscription at the dam near the town of Ta'if, built by the Caliph Mu'awiya in the 660s A.D.
