I'm getting 426 kb/s at home, which is a 3g area. Apparently you can get 2.8 mb/s in some places. It's quick enough for drivelling

My Virginmedia 2Mb runs at about 400Kb/s most of the time. Occasionally it will go to 3Mb for perhaps an evening a month. But mostly it is utterly pants. For £18 / month.

Hmm. I shift between 2 and 7 Gb per month, averaging about 4 Gb.

I could probably go 3G and see no degradation at all.
