Tea was brought to me from the East African place

They don’t mess around there when it comes to chilli sauce! I had to take several breaks to blow my nose due to gustatory rhinitis

Busy day. Woodland volunteer thing this morning, didn't really do much, long walk to place where we were supposed to be removing bracken and there wasn't any there. Afternoon with loony lady 1. Little history group party this evening at local 15th century place, nice except flipping cold.

The fillum was very silly and very entertaining. Mark Kermode mentioned Patricia Arquette's dodgy "Irish" accent, and it was terrible. However, if you ignore that, the rest of the film is a perfect example of the "switch your brain off and enjoy the spectacle" genre. So many funny little details and nods to a multitude of other films.

Monkey Life and other wildlife matters graced the screen today, and did a much better job of it than any of our human leaders ever manage

And tonight, I continued reading Death’s End

Early night now which will, through the power of BST, be transformed into a late night

            Morning denizens

It’s another grey start and it's still a bit breezy, though not as much as it was. Therefore, the 6°C we’re getting right now “feels like” -2°; the expected high is 10°, but will presumably also be discounted. The barometers are up a touch at 1015/1023mB

I see the BST Demon has visited in the night. Strange that such a powerful supernatural being can’t change clocks on older devices like cars, cookers, and VCRs. Our ancestors clearly realised that concealing the instructions for how to do so in manuals that can't be found when you need them would baffle even such an other-worldly threat

You'd have loved the clock setting & timer programming on the Grundig 2x4 Super. Very challenging. .

              Morning.

              Sunday.

              Dry, then damp, now drizzling.

              Grey.

              Sunless.

              Dark.

              Dank.

              Dreary.

Chilly in here at 12.8 deg, ?12 in the kitchen, 9 in the leanto.

1026 mBar, 30.297 in Hg, 769.6 Torr, 14.88 psi, (down from 1028 last night), 62% RH (Lidl electric).

Meanwhile on the 22nd of March 2020 Brillo popped in more, AndyGarbs popped in, NF popped in, and I was watching a programme about the plague.

Walk (unabbreviated, towpath) walked in the cold grey gloom in an effort to avoid the forecast rain: it didn't work, and despite an extra layer it was still cold.

Lunch: brunch. Entertainment: TWTW. More news of the doings of the Orange Moron and the consequences thereof. Doomed etc. It appears more & more likely that he really is a Russian asset. .

Tea: beans on toast with jacket spuds. Nice enough. Entertainment: Music quiz thing. History thing about Operation Mincemeat. Shorty's Dream Shop: 1955 DeSoto hemi V8.

Beyond Skinwalker Ranch. So interesting I slept through most of it.

Sergeant Cork S3 E10 "The case of the hero's return". Not one of the best. Bit meh really.

Thing about rain on BBC Alba. Och ye'll have brought your Macintosh. .

Thing on BBC2 NI in Irish Gaelic about a WWII Wellington bomber crash on a bog in the Donegal Air corridor.

More recently a white cross has been erected at the crash site.

Sgt Court's son (84 years old) and his grandson visited the site.

                Morning all

Cloudy. Currently 9 degrees with a high of 10 expected. Chance of rain. Warming expected over the next couple of days. Barometer up to 1029 mBar.

                Sunrise 06:44; Sunset 19:29 BST

I had forgotten to press the summer time toggle button on my Sony Dream Machine ICF-C273L radio alarm clock before going to sleep so initially thought I had an hour more to lie in, until I checked my phone. I am therefore a bit behind my usual Sunday visiting schedule. HWMBO and I will be on our way soon.

Lunch earlier was a Pukka steak slice, and tea just now was chicken and chips, said fowl being seasoned enough to make it a bit zingy

Lots of mucking around with the forum import stuff earlier. I ended up having to get vB5 running locally again which was a pain, but it was the only way to double-check something

This evening’s viewing was the latest episode of Ambulance

And tonight’s reading was more of Death’s End

Monday again tomorrow. But it’ll be Easter at the end of the week! Though a four-day weekend isn’t quite as cool as it used to be, given that I normally have a three-day one nowadays
