Morning denizens

It's a bright and sunny start out this time, providing a bit of a contrast to grey and windy yesterday. Still quite breezy though, and expected to get a little cloudier later. Currently at 14°C and aiming for 22°, which I suppose is acceptable if that's what people want. The barometers have leapt up to 1016/1024mB

CBS, etc, but also a pleasant temperature. Both Max and I slept in, so didn't go out until 06:20. Barely managed 6km.
Posted the last of my current batch of eBay junk - the 2GB laptop memory cards only had one bidder, so he got them for 99p + postage.

Next I'll try the CompactFlash cards from my old cameras. I remember when I got the cards and they had a speed of "700x", i.e. 120MB/s which was considered very fast. New camera takes CFExpress the slow ones are 1,400MB/s write, 1,700MB/s read. The fast ones are twice that.

I've even got a 340MB IBM Microdrive with its original "PC Card Adapter" - that belongs in a museum somewhere, although I notice that on it's case it says it's a backup of my documents (I'm guessing from around 2000), a couple of MMC cards from Canon (before SD was a thing), and a Sony Memory Stick - must be from an old phone, an Olympus XD card, along with a few card readers.

Good idea about the school, I might ask around to see if any of them are interested in taking some of the stuff that might be useful to them.
