At least dogs would wait until you are dead. Cats would do it while you were alive if not for the scale. -
Maybe they'll be very small houses? Barratt specialise in those…Originally posted by zeitghost View PostJust discovered (or I'd previously known about it and forgotten which is even more likely) that the development up the road from me is for 300 houses.
It's on the "green wedge" which according to legend was left back in the 30s to separate Neath from Tonna.
Well with 300 houses on it, it's not gonna do that any more.

Fun cycle in today. A few drivers were being extra kinds to me. Which usually heralds trouble.
Lewisham has a great road system now. Very cycle friendly. Including a cycle path round the congested part.
To get over to Deptford there is a crossing for pedestrians and cyclists. However it is directly after the A20 light goes red. So usually congested when on green. I can usually push my way through - today there was a van driver trying to squeeze me out. I pushed my way through pointing to the cycle light. He ignored me.
However the person behind, an enormously fat bloke in a smart car, started shouting at me. I could not make out most of what he said, however it ended in "fat c**t". Which really made me laugh - bizarre sight.Comment

Someone's making a nice little pile of dosh out of it.
Shades of "The Archers".
Except it's 300 not 18.Comment

That's the Toyota's tyre pressures checked (mainly OK within a couple of psi, except the nearside rear which was about 3psi below par) and oil topped up (it's getting to that age where it gets through oil a bit).
It's overdue for a service, really, on the strength of distance travelled. Once I know what'll happen contract-wise in a couple of weeks, I'll know which days I can book it in for

Today's perusal of the environment flood maps reveals why I can't get flood cover.
Ho hum.
Though I hadn't realised they take reservoir failure into account.
If that happens no one in that road will have anything much to worry about.
Ever again.
