The network seems faster since I restarted the cable modem. VM's test thing still says there's a problem though
I'll bury my head in the sand for an hour or two, I think… see if they discover an area fault and save me the trouble of talking to them

Just returned from the IT Dept pub lunch/mass leaving do.

Judging by the banging noises outside, the scaffolding on the front of the doctor's is now being taken down. They must be all done there.
Maybe now they can sort out the house on the side road, whose scaffolding prevents the security gate to the parking area being closed
