      Indeed, possible if properly cooked, but don't.

      I used to help a school friend whose father had a sizable pick your own farm control their bunny infestations as I was a fairly serious competitive shot in those days. Rabbit meat is really nice properly prepared, so is Wood pigeon and squirrel.

        A guy I used to work with, when he was younger, was employed to take out pigeons with a silenced rifle. So they didn't fly away, even though their mate had just been blown away right next to them.

          Never tried squirrel.

          Only got to try rabbit properly cooked when I used to cook it as my mother used to boil it to death and then pan fry it, it was tough as old boots.

          Place I used to buy my chicken and game off in the UK, I could e-mail them to let them know I wanted rabbit or pigeon and they'd shoot to order which was great!
